Healthcare is fast-growing industry within the Boise Valley, and Kuna is experiencing part of that growth. The Boise Valley is served by four full-service, acute care hospitals offering the most advanced medical technology available, all of which have extensive outreach programs and auxiliary facilities. Of these, two are full-service general hospitals that are part of the regional medical centers based in Boise.
St. Luke's Health System is the state's largest employer and also the home of the renowned Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI). St. Luke's has a presence in the communities of Boise, Eagle, Caldwell, Meridian and Mountain Home. Saint Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, which recently added a state-of-the-art, Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to its Boise Facility has a presence in the communities of Boise, Caldwell, Eagle, Kuna, Meridian, and Nampa. In addition, the Valley is home to Idaho Elk's Rehabilitation Hospital and the Intermountain Hospital of Boise. Boise VA Medical Center has a campus in Boise that serves veterans and their families.
Twenty minutes outside of Boise in the city of Caldwell is West Valley Medical Center, a full-service, acute-care medical center. Saltzer Medical Group has a main clinic in Nampa, Idaho, with other clinics located in Meridian, Caldwell and Boise.
