Matt Biggs

Matt was appointed to the Kuna City Council in September 2022 and was re-elected in 2023 to a second term.  He served over 20 years in the United States Navy, retiring from active duty in 2013 and has been employed by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) since, currently as the IT Area Manager for the Boise VA catchment. 

Matt is very engaged with youth and veterans programs.  He is currently an assistant track and field coach for Boise High School and previously coached track at Kuna High School.  He was a coach for several years with the Kuna Youth Basketball League and Optimist Football.  Matt is a former All-American Post Commander for Sgt. Devin Daniels Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 7019, in Kuna, is the current VFW District 4 Commander, and a member of American Legion Post 142 in Kuna.

Matt’s greater family has been in Kuna since 1995, and he and his wife Angie made Kuna their permanent home in 2013.  He has two children, a daughter Kassie, a Kuna High School graduate in 2022 and son Kody, a 2024 graduate who is currently attending Montana State University-Billings, where he is a member of the indoor and outdoor track and field teams.
