New Council Chambers Building

Kuna, Idaho (October 14, 2025): Fencing and a construction zone have been set up in the open grass space in front of Kuna City Hall, which will be the new home of the Kuna City Council Chambers building. Construction is anticipated to start October 20, 2025. The general contracting will be completed by Prusik Construction. They expect the work on the roughly 5,000 square foot building to be completed by Summer 2026. The new building will include an open Council Chambers with dedicated seating for the Kuna City Council, Directors, and a public gallery. It will feature modern audio-visual systems to enhance transparency and participation, as well as flexible meeting spaces to adapt to our growing community.

The City of Kuna, Idaho has temporarily removed the flagpole and the beloved tractor that are normally situated in front of Kuna City Hall. The tractor has been relocated to the Kuna Arts & History Center, 270 S. Orchard, near Indian Creek and the East Greenbelt. The flagpole will be returned once the building is complete.

Kuna has not been immune from the expansion and growth that the Treasure Valley has been experiencing. The City of Kuna has been one of the fastest-growing cities in Idaho and in the most recent COMPASS Idaho’s population estimate, Kuna’s population is approximately 33,750. With more people that are now attending City Council meetings and Commission meetings, a space larger than the current Council Chambers can offer is needed to accommodate all attendees. The new Council Chambers will be able to host approximately 250 people.

Keep checking back for updates on the progress. An open house will be held once construction is completed.

The current City Council Chambers will eventually be remodeled into additional office space for city staff, as well as space for the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) Kuna office.
